Rush Hour 4 (2026)

Rush Hour 4 (2026) – First Trailer | Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker

The film opens with a high-profile robbery in Hong Kong involving a mysterious criminal syndicate led by an enigmatic figure, **Xian Wei**. This gang, known for its unparalleled precision and technology, is planning a series of attacks across the globe that could destabilize international relations. The authorities are clueless, and despite numerous attempts, the criminal mastermind remains elusive.
The FBI reaches out to **Detective James Carter** (Chris Tucker), who has been living a relatively peaceful life in Los Angeles, now promoted to a role of international liaison. Carter, however, is too busy running his new business—**Carter’s World of Comedy**—to care about a high-stakes case.
Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, **Inspector Lee** (Jackie Chan) is called in by his old friend **Captain Shen** (Tzi Ma), who is investigating the syndicate. He realizes that the gang’s operations have expanded to the U.S., and they need Carter’s unique skill set. Despite his reluctance, Carter is convinced to rejoin Lee for one final mission.
Lee arrives in L.A., and the duo’s dynamic hasn’t changed. Lee is disciplined, focused, and professional, while Carter is more laid-back, sarcastic, and still struggling to stay out of trouble. However, they soon realize that the crime syndicate is not just a threat to global security—they are targeting personal figures from Lee and Carter’s past.
As they dig deeper, they learn that **Xian Wei** has a personal vendetta against Lee, having lost a family member during a botched mission that Lee was involved in years ago. Lee’s troubled past and Xian’s thirst for revenge turn the case personal.
The action sequences are as thrilling as ever, from high-speed chases through downtown Los Angeles to hand-to-hand combat in the crowded streets of Hong Kong. Carter and Lee’s bickering turns into a comedic routine that keeps things light-hearted, but their bond is stronger than ever.
With the clock ticking down to the syndicate’s next major strike, Carter and Lee uncover a plot to steal a weapon of mass destruction, hidden under the guise of diplomatic negotiations. The weapon is capable of crippling entire cities with a single strike, and it’s up to our heroes to stop it.
In a final showdown, Lee faces off against **Xian Wei** in a martial arts battle on a high-tech helicopter platform, while Carter tries to disarm the bomb—only to be hilariously outmatched by the weapon’s complex mechanisms.
In the midst of this chaos, Carter’s quick thinking and his comedy skills actually save the day when he distracts the villain long enough for Lee to land a devastating blow. As the bomb is deactivated and the villain is apprehended, the team gets back to the task of ensuring peace.
After the case is closed, Lee is offered a permanent transfer to the U.S. to work with Carter, but he declines, feeling that he must continue his work in Hong Kong. Carter, on the other hand, realizes that he’s not ready to give up on the world of international crime-fighting just yet.
In the final scene, the duo shares a drink at a bar, discussing their future, with Carter joking about opening a “Carter and Lee” crime-fighting agency. Lee laughs, but then a new case file arrives. The two exchange a knowing glance as the screen fades to black
