In the fourth installment of the Equalizer series, retired CIA operative Robert McCall faces his most personal mission yet. After settling in a peaceful town in northern Italy following the events of The Equalizer 3, McCall begins to rebuild his life, helping the local community and mentoring troubled youths. But his quiet life is shattered when a close friend, an ex-CIA agent, is brutally murdered while investigating a powerful global syndicate known as Erebus.

Erebus, a clandestine network of arms dealers, hackers, and mercenaries, has infiltrated governments worldwide. The stakes are raised when McCall discovers the syndicate’s plans to execute a catastrophic cyberattack targeting global financial systems, which could plunge the world into chaos.

Realizing he cannot ignore the threat, McCall steps back into the shadows, relying on his skills and network of allies. Partnering with Emma Collins, a young, resourceful cyber-intelligence analyst, and Dave York Jr., the son of his former ally-turned-nemesis, McCall takes the fight to Erebus, dismantling their operations one by one.

As McCall delves deeper, he uncovers a chilling truth: Erebus is targeting the very community he’s come to care about. The syndicate’s leader, Victor Hawthorne, a former black-ops agent turned rogue, proves to be McCall’s most cunning adversary yet—mirroring his own tactical brilliance and unrelenting drive.

The battle culminates in an intense showdown on a remote, snow-covered mountain fortress in Switzerland, where McCall must not only outwit Hawthorne but also confront the demons of his past.
