Doctor Strange: Incursion of Insanity picks up in the aftermath of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Following the dangerous use of the Darkhold and the confrontation with Wanda Maximoff, the multiverse begins to unravel. Reality itself is destabilizing as alternate dimensions collide and merge in catastrophic events known as incursions. Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), burdened by guilt and the consequences of his actions, must rally Wong (Benedict Wong) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) to restore balance before the multiverse collapses entirely.

As Strange navigates through chaotic, twisted realities, he encounters alternate versions of himself and past allies turned enemies, their minds and bodies warped by the incursion’s effects. These dark reflections serve as haunting reminders of his own potential for corruption. Among the antagonists is a malevolent version of Strange, whose descent into madness threatens to engulf all of existence.

The film plunges into the darker aspects of magic, with Strange grappling with the cost of his immense power and the moral dilemmas of his role as Sorcerer Supreme. America Chavez’s unique ability to traverse the multiverse becomes a key asset, while Wong acts as the steadfast anchor to prevent Strange from succumbing to despair.
