๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅBrotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte des Loups) is a French historical action-horror film directed by Christophe Gans. Combining elements of mystery, fantasy, and martial arts, the film is a visually striking tale inspired by the true legend of the Beast of Gรฉvaudanโ€”a mysterious creature that terrorized France in the 18th century.
The film is set in 1764, during the reign of King Louis XV. A terrifying beast is preying upon villagers in the French province of Gรฉvaudan, leaving behind a trail of gruesome murders. To investigate the mystery, the King sends knight Grรฉgoire de Fronsac (Samuel Le Bihan), a naturalist and adventurer, accompanied by his Native American companion Mani (Mark Dacascos).
As they delve deeper into the investigation, Fronsac and Mani uncover a sinister conspiracy involving secret societies, political intrigue, and a monstrous force unlike anything theyโ€™ve ever encountered. The line between myth and reality blurs as they face a terrifying evil that threatens to consume the region.
