One of the standout features of Split Second is its depiction of a rain-soaked, decaying London, which serves as a fitting backdrop for the film’s dark and brooding tone. The cinematography, drenched in neon lights and perpetual gloom, creates a claustrophobic atmosphere that heightens the tension.
This dystopian setting, combined with the film’s gritty aesthetic, has drawn comparisons to Blade Runner (1982), though Split Second leans more heavily into horror elements.
